Synopsis

Set within the secrecy of the Vatican, Conclave follows the College of Cardinals as they gather after the sudden death of the Pope to elect his successor. The central figure, Cardinal Lawrence (played by Ralph Fiennes), who is tasked with overseeing the election, faces a delicate balance of power among the various factions within the College. Tensions rise as the election grows politically charged, with key candidates representing different ideologies, from progressive to traditionalist. When a mysterious Cardinal Benítez (Carlos Diez) arrives and declares his interest in becoming Pope, the dynamic shifts, and a conspiracy begins to unravel.
